Union minister Nitin Gadkari declared during a campaign rally in Nashik that no government holds the authority to alter the Constitution crafted by Dr. B R Ambedkar. He refuted Congress allegations suggesting the BJP’s intent to modify it.
Addressing the crowd in support of Shiv Sena candidate Hemant Godse for the Nashik Lok Sabha seat, Gadkari emphasized that while certain sections of the Constitution can be amended, its core remains sacrosanct. He criticized the Congress for amending the Constitution multiple times, numbering up to 80 revisions.
Underlining the Modi government’s principle of “Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas” (Collective Effort, Inclusive Growth), Gadkari highlighted the administration’s commitment to welfare schemes benefiting all communities. He further outlined government initiatives to support agricultural sectors, particularly in Nashik, including plans for onion and grape storage and processing facilities.
Gadkari’s remarks come amidst political discourse ahead of the upcoming elections, as parties engage in campaigning and rhetoric to sway voter sentiment.
