The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the counselling schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 in the coming days. The schedule will provide important details for candidates who qualified for the postgraduate medical entrance exam, allowing them to plan their participation in the counselling process. Once released, the schedule will be available on the official MCC website.
According to a recent update from the national president of the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), Dr. Lakshya Mittal, the tentative schedule for NEET PG counselling is expected to be released within 2-3 days. Dr. Mittal shared the information via a post on X (formerly Twitter), advising candidates to stay tuned for updates. “UPDATE: #NEETPG 2024 counselling: NEET-PG 2024 tentative counselling schedule is expected to be updated within the next 2-3 days. We urge all aspirants to stay tuned for further updates. All the best,” the tweet read.
The tentative schedule has been developed following discussions between the UDFA team, the Medical Council Committee, and officials from the Ministry of Health. The release of the schedule is highly anticipated by the large number of candidates who sat for the exam.
The NEET PG 2024 exam was held on August 11, 2024, in two shifts—one from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and another from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.—across 416 exam centers in 170 cities nationwide. A total of 2,28,540 candidates registered for the exam, with 1,07,959 of the 1,14,276 registered candidates attending the first shift and 1,08,177 of the 1,14,264 registered candidates attending the second shift. The results were declared on August 23, 2024.
NEET PG is a crucial examination for medical graduates seeking admission into postgraduate medical programs such as MD, MS, DNB, and diploma courses in various medical disciplines.
