To worship her with devotion and reverence, it is essential to understand the rituals, makeup, and floral offerings associated with this auspicious occasion.

Rituals to Worship Goddess Kushmanda:

Altar Preparation:

Start by meticulously cleaning and decorating the puja altar or the designated worship area. Utilize fresh flowers, rangoli designs, and traditional decorations to create a sacred and vibrant ambiance.

Pran-Pratishtha:

Install the image or idol of Goddess Kushmanda on the altar. Perform the Pran-Pratishtha, a ritual symbolizing the infusion of divine energy into the deity.

Offerings:

Goddess Kushmanda is typically offered offerings like pumpkin (kaddu) as it is believed to be her favorite. Additionally, offer fruits, sweets, and coconut to symbolize abundance and prosperity. Light incense sticks and a ghee lamp to enhance the sanctity of the ritual.

Chanting Mantras:

Recite mantras dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. The following mantra is commonly chanted:
“ॐ देवी कूष्माण्डायै नमः॥”
(Om Devi Kushmandayai Namah)

Aarti:

Conclude the worship by singing an aarti dedicated to the goddess. Use a traditional aarti plate with a camphor flame or a ghee lamp while singing praises to Goddess Kushmanda.

Coconut Leaves:

Offering coconut leaves alongside flowers is a tradition that signifies fertility and abundance.
