Staying hydrated with homemade drinks with natural sweeteners

Drinking ample fluids is crucial for regulating body temperature, especially during heatwaves. Throughout the season, many people turn to artificially flavored sherbets and squashes that contain synthetic sweeteners, which can be harmful. There is a growing need to shift towards homemade drinks made with natural sweeteners like Dabur Honey.

Dabur Honey stands out as a natural remedy, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. It not only provides sustained hydration but also boosts immunity, making it an excellent choice for summer health. Beyond hydration, Dabur Honey nourishes the skin, offering comprehensive protection against the harsh summer heat. As temperatures rise, incorporating Dabur Honey into your daily diet can serve as a powerful shield against heatwaves, promoting overall health and vitality.

Do’s and Don’ts to beat the heat

– Avoid direct exposure to the sun, particularly between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m.
– Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, even if not feeling thirsty.
– Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing, and use protective accessories such as goggles, hats, and umbrellas.
– Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
– Limit consumption of alcohol, caffeine, and carbonated beverages.
– Avoid high-protein or stale foods.
* Carry water or drink based juice such as Lemonade or Shikanji with Dabur Honey as a natural sweetner while traveling.

Treatment and preparedness measures

In the event of heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke, prompt action is crucial. Individuals experiencing symptoms should be moved to a cool, shaded area and given fluids to rehydrate. Medical attention should be sought immediately, as heat strokes can be fatal if left untreated. Health departments are implementing various measures to ensure preparedness and timely response to extreme heat events.

Focus on community engagement and health promotion

As part of their strategy, health departments are focusing on community engagement and health promotion to raise awareness about heat wave risks and preventive measures. Early warning systems for heat waves are being established, with advisories and educational campaigns being disseminated to vulnerable populations. Sensitization and capacity-building efforts are underway to train medical personnel and community health workers in identifying and managing heat-related illnesses.
