Gautam Buddh Nagar, 1 April 2026 – A high-level meeting was convened today under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate (DM) to discuss the distribution of compensation for farmers affected by the Stage-2/Phase-2 and Stage-2/Phase-3 expansion of Noida International Airport, Jewar. The meeting, held at the Collectorate office, was attended by officials from the Revenue Department, Finance Department, and other concerned authorities to finalize the procedural and operational directives for transparent and timely disbursement of compensation.
The compensation pertains to 1,838.4176 hectares of acquired or yet-to-be-finalized land across 14 villages in Jewar Tehsil, impacting a large number of landowners and farmers. The DM emphasized that the process of compensation distribution should be carried out with complete transparency, efficiency, and speed, ensuring that all affected farmers receive their due entitlements without undue delays.
To facilitate this, the DM instructed that special compensation camps would be organized in each affected village starting 3 April 2026. At these camps, farmers will be required to submit compensation claim forms, after which compensation record files will be prepared, and all other procedural formalities will be completed systematically. The DM also directed that Revenue Inspectors, Lekhpals, and Amins be assigned to each village to oversee the process and assist farmers with the necessary documentation.
Furthermore, the DM appointed the Tehsildar of Jewar as the in-charge of all camps. He will coordinate with the Naib Tehsildar to ensure that daily inspections of all camp activities are conducted, and the prepared files are signed and verified. After completion of all formalities, the records will be submitted to the Office of the Additional DM (Land Acquisition) for further processing and approval.
To ensure accessibility and convenience for affected farmers, the DM outlined the specific locations of compensation camps across the 14 villages:
Thora Village: Primary School-1, Thora
Bankapur Village: Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan, Bankapur
Neemka Shahjahanpur Village: Primary School-1
Ahmedpur Chaurouli Village: Panchayat Bhawan
Khwajpur Village: Primary School
Ramner Village: Primary School
Kishorpur Village: Primary School
Banwaribans Village: Primary School
Parohi Village: Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan
Rohi Village: Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan, Parohi
Mukimpur Shivara Village: Primary School
Jewar Bangar Village: Primary School, Sabota Jafarabad

At each of these camps, farmers will submit their compensation forms, after which the compensation files will be systematically prepared, and all remaining formalities will be completed to ensure proper and timely disbursement.
The DM appealed to all affected farmers to attend the camps in their respective villages from 3 April onwards and complete all formalities related to the compensation for their acquired land. The objective of these camps, the DM emphasized, is to ensure that the distribution of compensation for acquired and pending land across all 14 villages is carried out in a fully transparent manner, benefiting the farmers in a timely and efficient process.
The meeting was attended by Additional DM (Land Acquisition) Bacchu Singh, Additional DM (Finance & Revenue) Atul Kumar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jewar, Durgesh Singh, along with senior officials from the Revenue Department. The DM reiterated the importance of efficient coordination among departments to ensure smooth execution of the compensation process and adherence to all legal and administrative requirements.
Through these measures, the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration aims to ensure that farmers affected by the airport expansion are fairly compensated, minimizing inconvenience and maintaining transparency throughout the process. The proactive approach also reflects the district’s commitment to balancing infrastructure development with farmer welfare, while facilitating the ongoing expansion of a critical national aviation hub.
