In a surprising twist, she visited Goa to resolve issues with her sister, Amrita Arora. Tensions had risen on the show due to Malaika’s repeated jibes at Amrita. A significant moment occurred during a dispute over their mother Joyce Arora’s cherished ‘kangan’ bangle.
The disagreement revolved around who should inherit the ‘kangan’. Malaika suggested that she might be the one to remarry soon, implying she should have the bangle.
While at a Goa cafe, reminiscing about their mother’s kangan, Amrita mentioned Joyce wearing it recently and her decision to give it to her. Malaika, initially silent, eventually remarked, “You keep it. Thank you. You are her favorite daughter, Ammu.”
In response to Amrita’s advice not to take such matters to heart, Malaika acknowledged her occasional sensitivity but maintained that she, being more likely to remarry, deserved the bangle more. She playfully called Amrita ‘mom’s chamchi’ (teacher’s pet).
The conversation then shifted to Malaika’s relationship with Arjun Kapoor and their plans for the New Year. Amidst uncertainty, Malaika expressed the ongoing stress she was facing.
