Mahatara Jayanti is celebrated annually on the Navami Tithi of the Chaitra Shukla Paksha. This year, the Navami Tithi will commence on April 5 at 7:26 PM and conclude on April 6 at 7:22 PM. As per Hindu traditions, the date of the festival is determined based on sunrise, making April 6 the day for Mahatara Jayanti, which coincides with Ram Navami.

Astrological Significance and Auspicious Yogas

This year, Mahatara Jayanti aligns with several auspicious planetary combinations that enhance its spiritual significance. The presence of Sukarma Yoga, Ravi Pushya Yoga, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, and Ravi Yoga makes this occasion highly favorable for worship. Performing rituals on this day is believed to fulfill wishes, enhance prosperity, and bring divine blessings.

Significance and Worship Rituals of Mahatara Jayanti

Mahatara Jayanti holds immense spiritual value for devotees who seek divine protection, wisdom, and success. On this day, devotees should wake up early, take a holy bath, and wear clean attire. The ritual begins by lighting a lamp before the idol or image of Goddess Mahatara, offering red flowers, rice grains (Akshat), kumkum, and sacred food offerings (Naivedya). It is especially auspicious to offer sweets made of milk, as it is believed to attract divine blessings.
