Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has declared that 40 lakh Ladli Behnas, including beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) and non-PMUY holders, will receive domestic gas cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs 450. This decision, aimed at providing financial relief, coincides with the auspicious month of Sawan and the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival. The initiative, reaffirmed in a recent cabinet meeting, will not disrupt existing welfare schemes but will enhance support across various sections of society.
