Karnataka BJP General Secretary V. Sunil Kumar clarified the party’s stance on the stability of the Congress government in the state, stating that they would not actively seek to destabilize it but would respond if it falls on its own.
Speaking on Wednesday, V. Sunil Kumar addressed recent comments made by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, predicting the collapse of the Congress government in Karnataka post Lok Sabha election results.
“Many legislators are speaking against CM Siddaramaiah,” V. Sunil Kumar noted, highlighting internal dissent within the Congress. He emphasized that the BJP would observe developments and intervene only if the government collapses due to internal factors.
“We can’t remain passive in that situation as an opposition party,” V. Sunil Kumar affirmed, indicating the BJP’s readiness to respond to political changes.
Critiquing the Congress government’s performance, V. Sunil Kumar lamented the lack of development and efficiency. He criticized the governance style, citing issues with law and order, and highlighted challenges facing Bengaluru’s stature.
In response to the government’s alleged failure, V. Sunil Kumar announced plans for extensive protests, expressing discontent with the administration’s performance.
“The inefficient governance has led to a situation where government employees are not receiving salaries every month,” V. Sunil Kumar pointed out, emphasizing systemic issues within the administration.
V. Sunil Kumar concluded by underscoring the dominance of a family and event management company in state governance, painting a picture of systemic challenges facing Karnataka.
