Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader Ravinder Minna was fatally shot by an unidentified assailant in Panipat on Friday evening. The incident occurred in the Vikas Nagar area, leaving the political fraternity and local residents in shock. Two other individuals were also injured in the attack, while the shooter managed to escape from the scene.

According to police reports, the attack happened suddenly, with Ravinder Minna sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Eyewitnesses stated that the assailant approached Ravinder Minna in a public area, opened fire, and fled before bystanders could react. The motive behind the attack is yet to be determined, and authorities have launched an intensive investigation into the case.

Subhash, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector 29, Panipat, confirmed the tragic event over a phone call, stating, “JJP leader Ravinder Minna has been shot dead. Our team is actively investigating the case and working on gathering more information to identify the suspect.”

Law enforcement agencies are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to gather potential leads on the suspect’s identity and movements before and after the shooting. The police have also recorded statements from eyewitnesses and are considering various angles, including political rivalry and personal enmity, as possible motives behind the attack.

Local leaders and party members have expressed their grief over Ravinder Minna’s untimely death. JJP members have demanded a swift and transparent investigation to bring the perpetrator to justice. Many political figures have condemned the violence and called for stricter law enforcement measures to ensure public safety.

Meanwhile, the injured victims are receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. Their condition remains stable, and they are cooperating with authorities to provide information that may assist in the investigation.

Residents of Panipat have expressed concerns over rising incidents of violence in the region. The tragic killing of Ravinder Minna has intensified debates about security measures for political leaders and the broader need for crime control in Haryana.

Authorities have assured the public that all efforts are being made to apprehend the assailant and deliver justice. Further updates on the investigation will be shared as more information becomes available.
