Jisoo from BLACKPINK has decided not to renew her solo contract with YG Entertainment and has chosen to pursue solo activities under her brother’s agency. She is rumored to have joined Blisoo, a subsidiary entertainment startup under Biomom, Inc., where her brother serves as the CEO. There has been speculation about this move, as Blisoo recently posted a job listing featuring Jisoo’s picture.
Before Jisoo, another BLACKPINK member, Jennie, also pursued her solo career by debuting with her own label, OA, and has been active on social media, hinting at upcoming releases from her label.
However, Biomom, Inc. declined to comment on the specifics of their relationship with Blissoo, stating that it’s complicated to define the company’s connection to the label and not disclosing information about the CEO’s family relationship.
After renewing their group contract with YG Entertainment, all four BLACKPINK members, including Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose, chose not to renew their individual contracts with the company as of December 29th. This departure follows G-Dragon’s recent departure from YG Entertainment, as he signed a new contract with Galaxy Corporation after being cleared of a drug case. YG Entertainment is now focusing on its new girl group, BABYMONSTER.
