Japanese Ambassador to India, Hiroshi F Suzuki, has extended a warm invitation to Indian students, encouraging them to consider Japan as a destination for higher education and career prospects. In an interview with Japanese YouTuber Mayo San, Ambassador Suzuki emphasized the ease of obtaining visas for students and highlighted the abundant opportunities for skill training and employment in Japan.
Ambassador Suzuki expressed his message directly to the youth of India, urging them to seize the opportunity to study and work in Japan. He emphasized the simplicity of the visa application process for students, requiring only a student ID for approval. His message underscores Japan’s openness to welcoming Indian students and facilitating their educational and professional endeavors in the country.
According to government data, the number of Indian students pursuing higher studies in Japan has seen fluctuations in recent years, with a decline observed in 2020 and 2021 likely attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Ambassador Suzuki’s invitation aims to reignite interest among Indian students in exploring educational opportunities in Japan.
Meanwhile, contrary to popular belief, the cost of studying in Japan is also relatively affordable compared to other prominent study destinations like the US, the UK, and Australia. With reasonable enrollment fees and tuition rates, along with available scholarship and tuition exemption programs, Japan offers a cost-effective option for Indian students seeking quality education abroad.
Meanwhile, Japan also offers a significant factor for Foreign Student. The country permits the Foreign students to work part-time for up to 28 hours a week, providing additional financial support during their studies.
