Iran’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ali-Reza Enayati, has underscored the significance of unity among Muslims and the solidarity of Islamic nations in bolstering the capabilities of the Islamic world. Ambassador Enayati made these remarks during a meeting held in Riyadh with Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League.
During the meeting, Ambassador Enayati highlighted the crucial role that Islamic centers and scholars of Islam can play in elevating the status of Islam on the global stage, Iran’s state news media reported.
“The meeting among Islamic scholars would make the viewpoints come closer,” Ambassador Enayati noted, emphasizing the potential for dialogue and engagement to bridge differences and promote unity among the Muslim community.
Secretary General Al-Issa echoed the sentiments of unity and solidarity, emphasizing their importance in a world characterized by religious diversity. He stressed that despite the variety of religions, fostering solidarity remains essential for achieving common goals and addressing shared challenges.
Both sides recognized the potential for deepening religious, cultural, and scientific cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia. They emphasized that such cooperation could significantly contribute to strengthening the solidarity of the Islamic world.
