Following closely behind, Niraj Kumar secured the second position with a score of 460.9, while Goldie Gurjar clinched the third spot with 445.6 points.
Conducted by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), the trials were exclusively for Group A shooters, comprising the top-ranked marksmen and markswomen from the country.
Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, India’s standout performer at the Asian Games 2023 with an impressive tally of two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, also leads the NRAI’s Qualification Ranking for the Olympic Games (QROG) list in the 50m rifle 3 positions category.
The upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics loom large on the horizon, with the top five Indian shooters from the national rankings as of February 29 set to earn the coveted opportunity to participate in NRAI’s final selection trials.
