Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar has reaffirmed his unwavering support for US President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign, emphasizing President Joe Biden’s leadership and achievements. Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar, serving his first term representing Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, highlighted the significance of his endorsement in a battleground state like Michigan.
“A few months ago, I sat 20 feet away from President Joe Biden and listened to him outline his vision for our country for nearly an hour. I’ve had multiple one-on-one conversations with him where he speaks fondly of Detroit and understands the problems we face. He is the same person we elected in 2020, where he was the most effective leader we’ve had in modern times,” Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar expressed.
Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar underscored President Joe Biden’s accomplishments in infrastructure spending, semiconductor investments through the CHIPS Act, and efforts to reduce insulin costs and enact significant gun safety legislation. He emphasized President Joe Biden’s promise to bring more federal investment, particularly in housing, to their district.
“A win for President Joe Biden in Michigan is crucial for his overall campaign against his Republican rival Donald Trump,” Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar remarked, highlighting the strategic importance of Michigan in the upcoming election.
The Congressman noted that his endorsement comes amidst challenges faced by President Joe Biden, including criticism following a recent presidential debate. Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar, the first among five Indian American Congressmen in the House of Representatives to officially support President Joe Biden after the debate, emphasized the clear choice between Biden’s policies and those of his opponents.
“President Joe Biden will bring more federal dollars to our district, while Trump will just keep giving tax breaks to the rich. I’m fully behind President Joe Biden as he is clearly the best choice for the 13th District,” Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar affirmed.
Currently, the House of Representatives includes five Indian American Congressmen: Ami Bera, Pramila Jayapal, Ro Khanna, Raja Krishnamoorthi, and Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar. Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar’s support for President Joe Biden underscores the unity among Indian American lawmakers in backing President Joe Biden’s presidency amid ongoing electoral dynamics.
