Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension to the application deadline for the January 2024 admission cycle for its open and distance learning (ODL) programs. Initially scheduled to close on February 29, the application link will now remain active until March 10, offering aspiring candidates more time to apply.
A recent social media post by the Open University confirmed the extension, stating, “The last date for Fresh Admission for all the programs offered in ODL/online mode for the January 2024 session has been extended till 10th March 2024.”

Visit the official website – ignou.ac.in
Click on ‘Register Online,’ then select ‘Fresh Admissions’
Navigate to the ‘New Registrations’ tab
Fill in all required registration details
Set a ‘Username’ and ‘Password’
Complete all necessary information and submit
Upon receiving login details via email and phone number, log in and provide additional required details
Select the preferred program
Finally, submit the IGNOU registration form
Additionally, eligible students have the opportunity to apply for government scholarships on the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in after confirming their admission to IGNOU.
