Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has openly declared his full support for Donald Trump in the upcoming U.S. presidential election, stating that he is “all in” for the Republican candidate. In a conversation streamed on Monday with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk expressed strong opinions on the future of American democracy, should Democratic candidate Kamala Harris win in November. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, warned that if Trump does not secure the presidency, it could lead to the end of fair elections in the U.S.
“My view is that if Trump doesn’t win this election, it’s the last election we’re going to have,” Elon Musk told Carlson during the nearly two-hour chat. He emphasized his belief that under another Democratic administration, mass legalization of undocumented migrants would skew future elections permanently in favor of Democrats. “If there’s another four years of a Dem administration, they will legalize so many illegals that the next election there won’t be any swing states, and this will be a single-party country,” Elon Musk said.
Elon Musk’s comments are aligned with common conspiracy theories on the political right, which allege that Democrats are deliberately allowing migrants into key swing states to solidify their voter base. These claims suggest that newly legalized migrants would vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, effectively ensuring their hold on power.
The South African-born businessman has become increasingly vocal about his political views in recent years, courting controversy and making public appearances with conservative figures. Over the weekend, Elon Musk appeared alongside Trump at a rally, and during his interview with Carlson, he hinted at plans to further involve himself in the campaign trail. Reports indicate that Elon Musk plans to visit several battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Wisconsin, to boost voter turnout for Trump.
Elon Musk also announced a program offering $47 to individuals who register voters in these key states, replicating successful referral models he has used in the past with his Tesla electric cars.
During the conversation, Carlson teased Elon Musk about the consequences of his public support for Trump, suggesting that it could backfire if the Democratic Party retains power. Elon Musk responded lightheartedly, “I’m like, all in, baby,” laughing at the idea that he could face legal repercussions under a Democratic administration. “How long do you think my prison sentence is gonna be? Will I see my children? I don’t know,” he joked.
Elon Musk’s outspoken support for Trump comes as the 2024 election approaches, with the billionaire positioning himself as a vocal surrogate for the former president.
