Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry engaged in crucial discussions regarding the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip, meeting with key international and bilateral counterparts to address the pressing humanitarian crisis gripping the region.
In a meeting held at the Foreign Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Minister Shoukry conferred with Sigrid Kaag, the UN Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza. The talks centered on the dire humanitarian conditions prevailing in Gaza and the imperative actions required to ensure the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 2720, aimed at facilitating aid provision to the beleaguered Strip.

Further, Minister Shoukry held a separate encounter with Hanke Bruins Slot, during the Egypt-Netherlands bilateral consultations session. Discussions during this meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Egypt and the Netherlands across various domains. Additionally, both parties deliberated on strategies to address the ongoing conflict in Gaza and alleviate the acute humanitarian suffering endured by the Palestinian population.
