Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a pivotal three-day visit focused on enhancing educational collaboration between India and the UAE.
During his visit, Minister Pradhan is scheduled to engage in high-level discussions with UAE leadership and interact with prominent educational institutions, schools, skill development entities, and the thriving Indian diaspora residing in the UAE.
Minister Pradhan underscored the strong bilateral relations between India and the UAE, particularly in the domains of education and skill development. “UAE-India relations are in a very good position today, especially in education and skill. In a strategic partnership, India and UAE have forged strong ties,” he stated.
He also highlighted the ongoing initiatives, saying, “We are opening an IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) in UAE, and many prestigious Indian universities have already established their presence here. Furthermore, more universities are poised to follow suit. Additionally, more than 100 schools affiliated with CBSE, India’s prominent national education board, are operational in the UAE, and we are soon going to establish a CBSE office here.”
It is pertinent to note that the UAE-India partnership extends across various sectors, with education and skill development being significant components recently. Moreover, Minister Pradhan’s visit seeks to further strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations, aligning their efforts with the demands of the 21st century.
