These majestic temples, spanning over 900 years of history, stand as a testament to the craftsmanship, devotion, and rich cultural heritage of the Jain community.

A Glimpse into History

The Dilwara Temples, also known as the Delvada Temples, are a complex of five Jain temples dedicated to Lord Rishabhanatha, the first Tirthankara of Jainism. The construction of these temples began in the 11th century under the patronage of Vimal Shah, a prominent minister of the Chauhan dynasty. The temples were further embellished and expanded over the centuries by successive rulers and devotees.

Architectural Marvels

The interiors of the temples are adorned with sculptures, pillars, and ceilings that showcase the artistry and craftsmanship of the era. The use of translucent marble allows sunlight to filter through, creating an ethereal glow within the temples.

At the Dilwara Temples, devotees partake in the Prasadam, which typically consists of fruits, nuts, and sweets. The prasadam is prepared with utmost care and purity, adhering to strict Jain dietary principles.

Location and Puja Timings

The Dilwara Temples are located about 5 kilometers from the Mount Abu town in Sirohi district, Rajasthan. The temples are open to visitors from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily. Puja timings vary depending on the day of the week and specific religious festivals.

A Spiritual Sanctuary

The Dilwara Temples are not just architectural marvels; they are also spiritual sanctuaries for Jains and non-Jains alike.
