  • Delhi officials review drainage cleaning and pump installations.
  • Strengthen immunity with fresh food and Ayurvedic supplements.

Delhi Irrigation and Flood Control Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj held a meeting with senior officials from various departments on Monday to review preparations for the upcoming monsoon season. Officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Irrigation and Flood Control Department, DDA, Cantonment Board, NDMC, and PWD attended the meeting. Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Atishi was also present.

The officials presented detailed reports on their departments’ monsoon preparations. Departments responsible for cleaning Delhi’s drains updated the ministers on the status of their operations. PWD officials outlined the progress of cleaning major drains under their jurisdiction and other monsoon-related preparations, including setting up permanent and temporary pumps to prevent waterlogging.

MCD officials provided detailed information on drainage cleaning efforts in their areas and outlined locations for permanent and temporary pumps.

Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj emphasized that a list of pump locations and the contact details of officials operating them should be made available to the MLA of each assembly constituency. This measure aims to ensure swift resolution of waterlogging issues during the monsoon, allowing local MLAs to communicate directly with the responsible officials and provide immediate relief to the public.

Apart from this, it is important that people take care of their health before and during the monsoons because there is a high possibility of getting flu, fever or viral infection in monsoon.

In such a situation, you can protect yourself from the diseases by strengthening your immunity and this is only possible when you change your eating habits. Eating clean and fresh food can protect you from various seasonal diseases.

Along with this, you can include Ayurveda in your diet, many herbs mentioned in Ayurveda can be the best source for increasing immunity. To make it easier even more, you can consume Dabur Chyawanprash. It is made from mixture of even more than 40 potent herbs like Amla, Giloy, Bilva etc. These herbs contain antiviral, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. Consuming Dabur Chyawanprash can help you in strengthening your immune system.
