The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement of online workshops aimed at educators, students, and parents to enhance career and psychosocial counseling skills. Scheduled to kick off in July 2024, these sessions will be accessible via Webex for live participation or livestreaming.
Participation certificates will be awarded to principals, teachers, and counselors who provide session feedback within 24 hours.
Participants unable to attend live sessions can access recordings on CBSE’s official YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/@cbsehq1905. The workshops aim to foster a comprehensive approach to career guidance and decision-making processes.
The training series includes:
For Principals: “Principal Pioneers: Charting New Territories in Career Counselling for Schools” on July 3 (3 pm to 5 pm).
For Teachers: “Transformative Teaching: Integrating Career Education in Curricula” on July 10 (3 pm to 5 pm).
For Counselors: “Navigating Careers with Conscience: Rethinking Counselling in Schools” on July 18 (3 pm to 5 pm).
For Parents: “The Power of Choice: Empowering Parents for Informed Career Decisions” on July 24 (3 pm to 5 pm).
For Students: “From Insight to Impact – Self-Reflection Strategies for Student Career Planning” on July 29 (3 pm to 5 pm).
CBSE aims to equip school leaders, teachers, and counselors with the necessary skills for effective career and psychosocial counseling, while facilitating informed career decisions for students and parents.
