At an event in Hyderabad on May 22, actor Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin unveiled ‘Bujji’, a pivotal character in their upcoming sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. ‘Bujji’ is depicted as the loyal sidekick of Bhairava, portrayed by Prabhas. The custom-made robot, voiced by Keerthy Suresh, was introduced through a teaser showcasing its unique abilities.
The official X (formerly Twitter) page of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ shared the teaser, describing ‘Bujji’ as a character with a distinct personality. The teaser highlights the bond between ‘Bujji’ and Bhairava, with the latter encouraging the robot to maintain a positive outlook.
During the event, Prabhas expressed gratitude towards Nag Ashwin for his vision in creating ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. He also thanked industry legends Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan for their involvement in the film.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’, slated for release on June 27, 2024, boasts a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the sci-fi extravaganza is set to become India’s most expensive film with a budget of Rs 600 crore. Comparisons have been drawn between ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and the acclaimed sci-fi epic ‘Dune’.
