German vehicle manufacturer BMW Group achieved a record sales figure of 22,940 units of luxury cars and motorcycles in India in 2023. The company sold a total of 14,172 units of the BMW and Mini brands, while the motorcycle division (BMW Motorrad) sold 8,768 units in 2023. BMW Group India’s sales increased by 19% compared to the previous year when 19,263 units were sold.
Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, stated that 2023 was a record-breaking year for BMW Group India. All three brands, BMW, Mini, and BMW Motorrad, achieved their highest-ever sales figures. The BMW iX was the best-selling luxury electric vehicle in India in 2023. In 2024, BMW plans to launch 13 cars, including two electric vehicles and six motorcycles. They also plan to introduce various models, including the 5 Series and X3. In 2023, BMW introduced 23 new products in India.
