In a resounding address at the BJP’s national convention, party President J P Nadda extolled the meteoric rise of the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, projecting confidence in securing a hat-trick victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls expected in April-May.

Addressing a gathering of nearly 11,500 party delegates at Bharat Mandapam, Nadda hailed Modi’s decade-long leadership, marked by unprecedented achievements for the party. He emphasized the goal of surpassing the remarkable milestone of 370 seats, with the NDA alliance aiming to achieve a historic tally of over 400 seats.

Amidst thunderous applause from delegates, Nadda underscored key highlights of Modi’s tenure, including the landmark women’s reservation law and the groundbreaking construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. These achievements, he noted, epitomize the transformative impact of Modi’s leadership on the nation.

Reflecting on the BJP’s remarkable trajectory under Modi, Nadda highlighted the party’s exponential growth from governing a mere five states before 2014 to now holding power in 12 states. Additionally, he pointed out that the BJP-led NDA alliance governs 17 states, a testament to its widespread acceptance and appeal across the nation.

Nadda celebrated the BJP’s recent electoral victories, citing the party’s triumphant second term in Uttar Pradesh, unprecedented wins in Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, defying odds and clinching victories deemed improbable by many.

In a nod to the BJP’s expanding footprint, Nadda emphasized the party’s significant gains in West Bengal, where it surged from a mere 10 percent vote share to an impressive 38.5 percent and secured 77 seats in the 2021 assembly polls. He expressed unwavering confidence in the BJP’s prospects of coming to power in the state in the next election cycle.

Highlighting the BJP’s growing influence in traditionally non-BJP strongholds, Nadda lauded the party’s victories in several northeastern states, including Assam, and its remarkable increase in vote share in Telangana.

Dismissing claims of the BJP’s limited presence in South India, Nadda asserted the party’s pan-India appeal, citing its substantial representation in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from the region, surpassing that of the Congress.

In summary, Nadda’s impassioned address at the national convention reflects the BJP’s unwavering confidence and determination to secure a decisive victory in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, buoyed by Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and the party’s unparalleled achievements.
