Bengaluru airport authorities have retracted the recently introduced fee system, which required private and commercial vehicles to pay for access to the airport premises.
This decision follows a notification earlier announcing increased travel costs to and from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, slated to take effect from Monday.
Under the now-revoked policy, commercial vehicles, including those affiliated with cab aggregators like Ola and Uber, were to be charged Rs 150 for up to seven minutes of access. Beyond this time frame, the fee would escalate to Rs 300.
The revised fee structure was intended to be enforced across both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport.
