Emphasizing that the two-state solution is the only viable path to achieve a fair and inclusive peace in the region, Dr. Al Zayani highlighted the significance of establishing the State of Palestine. He described it as a transformative victory that would pave the way for enduring peace and security for the people of the region.
Dr. Al Zayani called for concerted efforts from all parties to achieve the two-state solution, ensuring the rights and interests of all involved parties while fostering a future of peace, justice, and prosperity.
Expressing deep concern over the catastrophic situation in Gaza, Dr. Al Zayani also condemned the loss of life, injuries, forced displacement, and the humanitarian crisis affecting hundreds of thousands of civilians, particularly vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly. He stressed the urgent need for immediate and assertive action from the international community to address the widespread denial of fundamental rights in Gaza.
He further urged Israel to take immediate steps to halt aggression, protect civilians, and guarantee their access to essential resources and basic requirements. He reiterated that the dire circumstances in Gaza underscored the importance of the two-state solution, advocated by Arab nations and the majority of global states, as the sole means to establish a lasting resolution to the conflict.
Highlighting Bahrain’s alignment with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions, Dr. Al Zayani affirmed that the two-state solution remains the singular path capable of realizing genuine peace, security, prosperity, and justice for all parties involved.
