A massive fire broke out at an electricity meter manufacturing factory in Noida, triggering panic among hundreds of workers inside the multi-storey building. The incident occurred at Capital Power Systems Limited factory located in the Phase-1 police station area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Within minutes of the fire breaking out, flames rapidly spread across all five floors of the building, creating a chaotic situation inside the factory.

According to initial reports, more than 200 employees were present inside the factory when the fire erupted. As the flames intensified, workers rushed to evacuate the premises in an attempt to save themselves. While many managed to escape the building in time, nearly 35 workers reportedly became trapped inside the factory due to the rapidly spreading fire and thick smoke.

Eyewitnesses said that panic spread quickly as the fire engulfed different sections of the building. Some workers were seen running toward exits while others moved toward balconies and windows in search of a way out. In one dramatic moment, a worker reportedly jumped from a window in an attempt to escape the flames. Several workers were also seen collapsing due to exhaustion and smoke inhalation during the evacuation.

Local residents and people in nearby areas immediately informed the police and the fire department after noticing the fire and smoke rising from the factory building. Emergency response teams were quickly mobilized to the scene. Soon after the alert was issued, more than 30 fire brigade vehicles reached the location to control the blaze and carry out rescue operations.

Firefighters began rescue efforts by positioning ladders against the building and climbing up to the balconies on the first floor. In order to reach workers trapped inside the structure, fire personnel had to break window glass panels and enter the building. Rescue teams carefully brought out trapped workers one by one from the smoke-filled rooms.

Several workers who were unable to move due to injuries or exhaustion were physically carried out by firefighters. According to officials at the scene, rescue personnel lifted injured employees on their shoulders and brought them down safely through ladders and stairways. The operation continued for several hours as firefighters worked to ensure that all individuals trapped inside the building were evacuated.

Police teams also reached the site and coordinated with the fire department to manage the rescue and evacuation process. After being rescued from the building, injured workers were immediately transported to the District Hospital in Noida for medical treatment.

Hospital authorities reported that most of the injured workers sustained minor injuries such as burns, bruises or breathing problems caused by smoke inhalation. However, two workers were reported to have suffered serious burn injuries during the incident. Due to the severity of his condition, one of the seriously injured workers was referred to a hospital in Delhi for advanced medical treatment.

Officials said that the fire department worked continuously for several hours to bring the blaze under control. The intensity of the fire and the size of the building made the operation challenging for rescue teams. According to fire department personnel, it took nearly four to five hours to fully control the flames and ensure that the fire did not spread further.

The exact cause of the fire has not yet been officially confirmed. Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed investigation to determine how the blaze started and whether any safety violations contributed to the incident.

The factory where the fire occurred, Capital Power Systems Limited, is involved in manufacturing electricity meters. Being a multi-storey industrial facility with several workers operating on different floors, the incident quickly escalated into a major emergency situation once the fire spread through the building.

Local authorities and emergency services remained present at the site even after the flames were controlled to ensure that no further risk remained inside the building. Officials also inspected the premises to verify that all workers had been safely evacuated.

The incident created significant concern among residents and workers in the surrounding industrial area, as large volumes of smoke could be seen rising from the factory building during the firefighting operation. Emergency teams worked systematically to manage the situation and prevent further injuries.

Further details regarding the cause of the fire and the condition of the injured workers are expected to emerge after the completion of the investigation by the concerned authorities.
