Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], July 3 (ANI): While inspecting the Uppada coastal area, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pavan Kalyan on Wednesday directed officials to provide a permanent solution to Uppada Sea Erosion Problem and asserted that the government is committed to fulfilling its promises.

Kalyan on Wednesday visited the area affected by sea erosion along the Uppada coast.

Officials from the Maritime Board, the Central Ministry of Earth Sciences, and revenue officials discussed the causes and remedies for sea erosion. They were asked about the reasons why the sea is advancing on the Uppada coast and ways to prevent further erosion. Kalyan assured full assistance from the government and suggested conducting a scientific survey to start the work. Appropriate instructions have been given to the authorities to find a permanent solution to this issue.

Meanwhile, the people of Uppada village and other coastal villages warmly welcomed Pawan Kalyan, who came to study with the officials to find a solution to the erosion problem of Uppada’s coastal area.

Deputy CM stated, “I am committed to the welfare of the public. I am not greedy for money, and I am not a corrupt politician. I will not indulge in any corruption. I will be with you and strive for the welfare of the state. As I said before the election, I will fulfil my promises.”

He added further, “Today, I visited Uppada and its surroundings. Soon, we will come up with an action plan. Recently, a resident of Bhimavaram approached me and expressed her sorrow that her child had been missing for the past nine months. I ordered the Vijayawada Police Commissioner to investigate, and they found her within nine days. During this time, I eagerly awaited updates from the police. She was found in Jammu and Kashmir. I felt happy after the police traced her.”

Praising Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Kalyan said, “We need a leader like Chandrababu Naidu owing to his experience. We distributed pensions on July 1st, and 90% of the pensions were distributed on the same day through government staff instead of volunteers.”

He added, “The Jagan Mohan Reddy government spent Rs 600 crores on the construction of the Rushikonda palace. Why does he need a bathtub worth Rs 30 lakhs? Even I wouldn’t spend money on such a tub for bathing. Panchayat funds were redirected for other uses by the previous government.”

The deputy CM further said that the government will soon fulfil all its promises. “I have started looking into government audits, even though I didn’t previously look at my auditing reports. Soon, we will fulfil our promises. The overbridge at Kottagumam railway gate will be discussed with the top brass of the union government. A review meeting was held with research centres on Uppada coastal region. Within 18 months, we will develop the coastline between Uppada and Kakinada and turn it into a tourism hotspot.”

Speaking about the job opportunities, Kalyan said, “Employment opportunities will be provided by the tourism sector. Uppada and Kakinada, which are 14 km apart, will be developed as a tourism hub. Soon, we will release the master plan for the Uppada-Kakinada beach road.”

The deputy CM added further, “Pithapuram should be a role model for India. Soon, we will make it so. I have purchased three acres of land in Pithapuram for the construction of a central office. The doors will always be open for the needy. I have appointed five members to receive petitions from the public. The top three priorities of these petitions are missing cases, health, and unemployment. We will promote sericulture. We are committed for the welfare of state.” (ANI)
