Divers from the Andaman & Nicobar Command celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga with spectacular underwater yoga performances in the Emerald Isles on Friday. They demonstrated various asanas and mudras, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of yoga for strength, health, and wellness.
The event, known as #IDY24, was highlighted by the ANC for its unique display of yoga in an aquatic setting, promoting the benefits of yoga beyond traditional practices.
Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude to those advocating yoga worldwide, emphasizing its role in fostering unity and harmony across cultures. He acknowledged the collective efforts of individuals, communities, and organizations in making International Yoga Day a global success.
In Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, PM Modi led the main celebrations at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre, reaffirming yoga’s impact on both physical health and mental well-being. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society,” underscores yoga’s dual role in personal wellness and societal cohesion.
The celebration witnessed participation from several Union Ministers and leaders across the country, highlighting yoga’s universal appeal and its growing popularity among the youth.
Since its inception in 2015, PM Modi has spearheaded International Day of Yoga celebrations at iconic locations worldwide, promoting yoga’s transformative benefits on a global platform.
