Sources have reported that Air Canada flight AC43, which was en route from Delhi to Toronto, received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday. As a precautionary measure, the flight, originally scheduled for departure around 10:50 pm, was directed to the isolation bay upon arrival. Rigorous aircraft screening procedures were promptly initiated to ensure the safety and security of all passengers on board.
This incident follows a similar occurrence last week involving a Vistara flight from Paris to Mumbai. According to reports citing a source, the aircraft, carrying 306 passengers and crew members, received a bomb threat in the form of a handwritten note found on an airsickness bag.
Furthermore, in a separate incident on Friday, a Vistara flight from Delhi to Srinagar, with 177 passengers on board, encountered a mid-air bomb threat. The flight executed a safe landing in Srinagar, and all passengers and crew were swiftly evacuated from the aircraft.
The safety and security of passengers and crew remain of paramount importance in such situations. Authorities continue to collaborate closely to investigate these threats thoroughly and ensure the uninterrupted operation of air travel while upholding stringent safety protocols.
