In a bid to secure more slots for the Paris Olympics, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has unveiled India’s 14-member squad for the upcoming World Race Walking Team Championships in Antalya, Turkey. Led by experienced racewalkers Ram Baboo, Akshdeep Singh, and Priyanka Goswami, the team is gearing up to compete in the prestigious event scheduled for April 21.
The AFI has carefully selected a strong lineup, including Suraj Panwar, Vikash Singh, Serving S, Arshpreet Singh for the men’s 20 km racewalking team, and Manju Rani, Payal, Pooja Kumawat, Mokavi M, Ramandeep Kaur for the women’s team. Additionally, two mixed relay teams comprising Priyanka Goswami-Akshdeep Singh and Munita P-Paramjeet Singh have been confirmed to participate in the qualifying event for the Paris Olympics.
