A video is going viral on social media where a father and son are arguing about not being allowed to enter the mall… This video is of GT Mall in Bangalore. Here an elderly man was not allowed to enter the mall. The reason was dhoti. Let’s know the story of this viral video.
In this mall of Bangalore, the farmer and his son had come to visit GT Mall and watch a movie. They also had a ticket for the movie. But when both of them reached the gate of GT Mall, the security guard stopped them from entering. The son later made a video related to this. In this, he told that ‘The security guard has told us that no one can enter the mall wearing such a dress. The mall management itself has made these rules.’ After that, the father wearing a dhoti tried to explain to the guard that he has come from a very far distance. He cannot change his clothes and come, but the guard did not listen to him. When the elderly man asked the reason, he got the answer that you are wearing a dhoti. First come wearing pants. Only then will you get entry here.
When both the farmer father and his son uploaded a video related to this on social media, it went viral in no time. After this, the government took strict action in this matter. Urban Development Minister Birathi Suresh said – I have spoken to our former BBMP commissioner regarding the matter. In such a case, the government has a provision to close the mall for 7 days under the law. And hence the mall will be locked for 7 days. Apart from this, the police have also filed a complaint against the security guard and the owner.
This is not the only such incident. Even today, in many places, people’s regressive thinking is seen on the basis of clothes. Certainly it is important to keep public decency in mind and apart from this, discrimination on the basis of how someone is dressed shows very backward thinking.
