5th Phase Election Overview | CliqExplainer

The fifth phase of elections concluded today, with voting taking place across 49 seats in six states and two union territories, including Ladakh.

The fifth phase of elections concluded today, with voting taking place across 49 seats in six states and two union territories, including Ladakh. Key candidates included Rahul Gandhi from Rae Bareli, Smriti Irani from Amethi, Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Karan Bhushan Singh from Kaiserganj, Chirag Paswan from Hajipur in Bihar, Piyush Goyal from Mumbai North, and Omar Abdullah from Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir. By 5 PM, the highest voting percentage was observed in West Bengal at 73%, followed by an impressive 67.15% in Ladakh. The lowest turnout was seen in Bihar with 52.35%. Several celebrities also participated in this phase of voting, with Akshay Kumar casting his first vote as an Indian citizen during this phase.
